Pastor Jeff's Corner
About Pastor Jeff Morey
Before becoming Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Stockton in 2012, he was someone finding his way to the Lord. Before changing faith, Pastor had a unique background of being raised in the Jewish tradition. He knew about Jesus Christ but not much about Christianity at the time. When learning about the Christian faith, he attended Grace Lutheran in Modesto in the 1990s with his wife Mary. Pastor Jeff recalls how he started new member classes during the Lenten season and states, "I looked over, and to my dying day I will sear to you I saw Jesus hanging on that cross (the type that many churches put up during Lent). A short time later, I was baptized, confirmed and became a new member." Through this act and sign that our Lord gave him, Pastor had found his calling. Though he found a passion in cooking and owning his own restaurant, Pastor Jeff found more drawn to the church and being active within his congregation. In 2008,He became a deacon after going through the Leadership Advanced Process , a training program offered through the Northwest District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and has since been serving Trinity Lutheran Church and the congregation. Through hard work and determination, Pastor Jeff put his time into studying to become a Pastor. He continues to fill the pulpit, plan church activities, teach the Bible and confirmation classes, and cares for all the congregation. He has been a great advocate for Trinity Lutheran Church and continues to be one.
